First Date Tips: How To Make Her Want A Second

Psyching yourself up for that nerve-wracking first date with a gorgeous woman you recently met? Luckily, making a lasting impression on a first date does not have to entail pretending to be someone else or spending hundreds of dollars.

Are you looking for some first date tips that will set you apart from the competition? Look no further, we’ve got you covered! And guess what? It’s less drama than you think.

The devil is in the details.

By following the 6 first date tips below, you’ll have everything you need to land a second date.

1. Beers Or Breakfast?

You don’t have to lay down wads of cash. Instead, try something as simple as changing the time of your date. For example, skip dinner and make it a breakfast date instead. A quiet breakfast shop is a great place to have a nice, nerve-free chat.

If things aren’t going well, you can always use your job as an excuse to make a quick getaway. Even if you’re having the best time ever, end the breakfast after 45 minutes max. The idea is to leave her wanting more, not to take her through your entire family album or high school yearbook.

2. Leave Negative Nancy At Home

One of the biggest turn offs is being negative: talking about bad experiences, horrible exes, failures or fears. The crazy thing is, sometimes we don’t even realize it when we’re being negative. Before you head out the door, do an internal audit. Think about what you like, love and enjoy. Anything positive is a wonderful conversation topic for a first date because it demonstrates that you are an optimistic and HAPPY person.

3. Give To Those In Need

What better way to analyze the character of your date than by volunteering for something you believe in? You’ll see a sneak preview of the values of your partner while giving back to those in need. This is a great way to spend quality time together while also helping others.

4. Save Yourself

A common mistake people make is getting too comfortable too fast. Sharing your entire life story or going straight to the bedroom is not a good way to ensure a second date. Pace your first date with your partner. By taking things slow, you’ll show that you are a serious guy, not just someone looking for a good time. Plus, you’ll give her a reason to go out with you again; to find out more about you and the potential connection you two have!

5. Wear Something Comfortable

Are you more of a jeans and hoodie kind of guy? That’s just fine. Don’t wear a tight button down that makes you feel like you are choking. At the same time, don’t wear something dirty. Pick an outfit that you are comfortable in, and that makes you feel attractive. Add a belt to complete the look, and you’ll probably be good to go.

6. Send A Thank You Text

Nothing increases your chances of scoring a second date more than sending a short, sincere (and hopefully slightly witty) thank you text for the next day. This applies to both men and women. What’s the formula to success? Be specific.

For example:
“Beautiful, funny and you even laugh at my jokes… Can’t wait to find out more! Thanks for an incredible evening!”

First Date Tips Round-Up

By following these first date tips, being yourself and letting your personality shine through, you’re almost sure to make a good and lasting impression. If she isn’t interested, try not to get too discouraged. You just haven’t found the right one yet. Remember, dating is like shopping for cars. You have to go to a lot of car lots before you find your dream ride…But that’s the fun part, because each lot has a new surprise!
